SPS Commerce is excited to share their fourth annual benchmark survey, conducted in collaboration with Retail Systems Research (RSR), Retail Insight 2016. A must read for anyone in the retail supply chain, SPS Commerce leveraged their expansive ecosystem of retailers, suppliers, logistics firms, system integrators and more to uncover key insights regarding this year’s landscape. Their fourth annual industry survey published with Retail Systems Research (RSR) is complete, and one thing is clear: e-commerce is definitely the priority going forward.

According to the survey, retailers feel they are keeping pace with consumers’ growing digital demands, but suppliers admit they have more work to do. Logistics firms are mostly feeling the pressure to accelerate their fulfillment times.

Here are a few revealing survey stats:

  • 55% of retailers say they have successfully executed their digital strategy
  • 45% of suppliers feel their digital retail strategy is lagging
  • 75% of retailers identify e-commerce as their top priority for 2016, ousting retail stores from the top spot for the first time
