Exxon Mobil’s Speedpass+, its mobile payment app that launched Apple Pay payments for gas last year, is now letting people pay via an Apple Watch.

According to a report, users can now purchase gas at the pump with their Apple Watch. While Speedpass+ relies on in-app Apple Pay for transactions, it also works at Exxon Mobil gas stations without contactless payment terminals. The ability to pay with an Apple Watch comes in part because of the watchOS3, which enabled in-app Apple Pay payments for the first time ever, noted the report.

With the latest update to Speedpass+ users can leave their iPhone close by in the car or in their pocket and complete the transaction from their Apple Watch. Users have to pick the correct pump number at the gas station, then complete the transaction via Apple Pay. The new version of Speedpass+ also includes integration with Ford vehicles and Touch ID logins, according to the report.

Last month, Exxon Mobil announced Speedpass+ supports Samsung Pay as a method of payment. In a press release, ExxonMobil said that with the addition of Samsung Pay, consumers have an easy and secure way to purchase Synergy fuel and car washes with Samsung-compatible Galaxy devices.

“Increasing the mobile payment options allow us to provide our consumers with a faster, more convenient experience at the pump,” said Rob Wollard, America’s retail fuels marketing manager for ExxonMobil Fuels, Lubricants & Specialties Marketing Company, in the press release. “We are proud to be the first major fuel retailer to offer Samsung Pay at the pump.”

In order for Samsung Pay to work with Speedpass+, consumers have to link their Samsung Pay account to their Speedpass+ app and select Samsung Pay as the desired payment method. From there, they can purchase fuel across more than 9,600 Exxon and Mobil retail stations that are Speedpass+-enabled.
